First Test I took.
I took another test to make sure that it wasn't a false positive on October 14th and it was a stronger positive! So we headed off to Cleveland, GA for a weekend with our youth at woodlands camp. Monday when we got back I took another test just for my peace of mind! :) It was positive also!!! :)
Second Test I took.
Third Test I took.
All of them in the same picture to see the lines getting darker! :)
Tuesday, October 18th, I went back to the Dr. for more blood work to make sure I was pregnant! They were supposed to get the results back on Wednesday and then once the Dr. looked at them give me a call and let me know. They finally called me on Thursday and she was very uncertain and said that it was really early in my pregnancy but it did look like I was.
I went back to the Dr. to get more blood work done the next week to make sure my levels were going up like they were supposed to and they were! So now we just wait until the first ultrasound/Dr visit.
November 16th, Zane and I went to see the baby for the first time! :) We got there a little early and were super excited. We were moved to different waiting room after about 15 minutes in the first one. (We had never been to a different waiting room the whole time we have been going to the Dr) We wait in the new waiting room for another 15 - 20 minutes. Then the lady finally tells us she is ready. She takes us to a room and I get set up and the very first thing she does is let us hear the heartbeat!!! It was a really strong Heartbeat, 185 beats per minute! I was 8 weeks and 5 days and the baby was about an inch long. The tech wasn't that friendly but we just enjoyed the moment anyway! Then after seeing the baby and making sure there was just ONE!! ;) We went back to the waiting room to wait on the Doctor. Zane handled being in the room while they tested my whole body it seemed very well. We both got our flu shots and he wasn't really excited about getting it because he wasn't expecting to have to sit on the table at all. Then I had more blood taken. I know the exact spot where my vein is and that the butterfly needle is the needle you want. I didn't know what that was but Zane made sure to ask so we learned it was a smaller needle that the nurse can use to "explore" till she finds your vein and it doesn't hurt as bad. It also has an extra perk that as soon as she hits my vein blood shoots in it to let her know to stop looking. After almost 3 hours at the Dr. office we finally left to send/tell the family the good news. We went to lunch with Mike and Teresa so they could see our pictures!

I have felt pretty good so far. I am always tired it seems but haven't been sick a lot. I struggle brushing my teeth that makes me gag every time. The major food aversion has been Orange Juice. I have had a cup of orange juice every morning (it is like my coffee) for a couple of years now. If I miss a morning no big deal but I drink it most of the time. Well one day I grabbed my glass and headed off to work I started drinking it and it was nasty. I got to work and Zane was here so I gave it to him and then a little bit later he came to check on me and asked how I was. I started crying and telling him that my Orange juice tasted nasty this morning and I was really upset about it. He had no idea what to do but he handled it well. I have tried OJ several times since then and still can't drink it. I still tear up when I talk about it. I can put it in a fruit smoothie and it tastes good. I haven't had a melt down about anything else before that or since that occurrence. Maybe one day my orange juice will taste good again. :)
We have finally made our news public and I look forward to keeping everyone updated. I got tired of calling the baby an "it" so I started calling him a Boy. So far I know both of our mom's are hoping for a girl but we will find out come the end of January.
I have a Dr. Appointment on Thursday, December 8th so I will try to post updated ultrasound pictures.
